was just gonna say adjust jack plate and if no luck add whale tai;. ive seen tails help some, completely fix some, and not help others. they usually cost u a mph though. I think 40mph at 5800 rpm with that 70 is right on the money! keep boat and when motor gives out put u a 90 on there. 40 mph is plenty fast for me. never ran any faster unless storms or trying to beat darkness. I usually cruise at 35 looking for bait and water conditions. I have the adjustable trim tabs on my marsh rig they are talking about here. they work! ill take picture of it when get to boat and post here so u can see. their welded on but install with a pin so they can also be removed if want or need to. only thing I don't like is running wide open making a pretty good turn it will get up on those tabs and start sliding.

I have been looking at tabs. Plan is to definitely go more HP when i repower.

We cruise around 32-33 most of the time.
