Don't gripe about how the others are run if you don't want to step up and take the bull by the horns yourself, or even show up at the ones that are organized as forum-sponsored events. The large forum-sponsored events will have a fundraising basis, but anyone can organize a smaller tourney on their own.

I didn't see anyone griping about anything.
We can make this happen but i don't think that you will get sponsors to contribute 2 or 3 times a year.
like i said one BIG tourny yearly and bungles the rest of the time.
If ev1 wants to pitch in a few bucks for the cause we can donate.
I would rather fish for braggin rights and let funds go to the foundation.

I agree with that. Any prizes will be donated items going forward. Other than those prizes and maybe a few trophies, it is just a fun event. Having sponsors just makes it more fun because there are door prizes, etc.

I think our official SC tourney each year will be a 2-part or 3-part tourney, maybe 2 saltwater events (east and west) and a freshwater event. We're working on the details now.

Yes Sir i am . Hunt nfish was the most laid back friendly site i have ever been on. and they had bungles that i don;t know could ever be matched,

Sea-Trac Offshore 03-17-2010 08:05 PM

I still keep intouch with a good bit of friends from there. Those Bungles were fun, what can be remembered anyway!

Last year for the July 4th weekend, the winds were whipping out the West, like they were last weekend on Big Lake.

QUACKHEAD 03-17-2010 09:14 PM

Yea Ray. I went last year the weekend before the forth and couldn't get but about 1/2 way out of the jetties.

meaux fishing 03-17-2010 10:56 PM

We could do a get together at the same time as the speckled trout rodeo on memorial day weekend...then people could compete in a tourney if they want we could still have our own side pots/bragging rights....long weekend...there is still alot of camps open that weekend
