There was a class action lawsuit for Enron shareholders and they paid out pennies on the dollar. In that case, the suit was over fraud. Don't think you could sue as a BP shareholder due to normal business operations.

U can sue and advisor for mismanagament of funds.... Like if information was withheld concerning the prospectus or overall earnings.... Can't sue a company and recoop all Ur losses.
And x2 on the market being a roll of the dice.
That's y u gott have Ur retirement $$$ spread out between guaranteed growth and non guaranteed growth.
