Mine was a 88 ranger 4x4 extended cab. Loved that truck. I sunk it,flipped it, anything you could throw at it just change the oil and it would go. Can't say such happy things about the expedition I got now as its a pos. My wife gets the decked out Titan, me next. I want 4x4 again, excursion

My first truck......oh how I miss it.......66 Chevy stepside. 283 V8, 3 speed on the column, dual exhaust.......blue with an orange front clip......painted flames on it to blend the 2 colors.......drove it to Utah from Lafayette helping a friend move, made 3 trips pulling a trailer .......ill have to find a picture.......had the chance to buy it back about 5 yrs ago and didn't have the money. I could kick myself!!!!
|
69 Chevy, 307 & 3 speed on the column, blue w/ white cab, all iron!
|
My first one was a 85 Nissan hard body single cab 4x4. By far the toughest truck I've ever owned. Totalled it when slammed my friends my mom from behind going about 45 mph. Have fun with this one Salty.

My first truck was a 1994 Eddie Bauer F-150 4x4 with a 3" body lift. Thing was a beast. Rode like crap and burnt fuel like crazy.

|
Mine was supposed to be a 79 Jeep CJ5 ...... But my dads wife was a gambling addict and he had to sell it ...... So I ended up with a 89 Mazda B2200 with a roll down back window that never worked ..... Thing was a piece of crap!!!!! But I did have a banging system in it!!!
|
I think many of us were guilty of huge systems in pos trucks from our generation! Lol!!! I was no exception.
Now days, I'm throwing a fit when I hear em bangin down the road! Damn, I AM getting old! Lol |

Toyota Tacoma 09 :)
Wish it wouldn't be so hard to find a tacoma 4 wd, until then, rear lock in system will work |
Took my backseat out of my f-150 and had a custom speaker box built with 4 Kicker 12s. Then they put a seat on top of the box. Now my ears can't handle that!

'81 GMC Sierra. 305 V8 with automatic transmission that was a piece of ****.
I had a lot of trucks, that vintage was crap... Engine, transmission and body was the low years for GM when they sold these models. |

Mine was a 78 F150 300 6 Banger w/ 3 speed on the column 2 wheel drive with tires as Big as Salty's on the rear. I had to rebuild my tranny and rear end at least 3 times each from spinning the tires going into 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. I got pretty good at re building, plus I don't know how many motor mounts I had to replace. I finally, puy a chain on the motor to reduce destroying the motor mounts.
I also found some sweet red buckets seats out of a new salvaged camaro that I installed. Built own removable speaker boxes with 100 watt equalizer, had 8 track, cassete and cb. |
My truck is pictured with a 6" suspension lift and 38" tires. When I sold it, it had a 9" suspension lift, 3" body lift, 46" Goodyear Terra tires, Detroit Lockers and 4:11 gears. I still had to cut the fenders to get the tires under it. It wasn't "street legal".....except for Bogalusa.

It was my fishing/hunting truck. Good truck. Just drank a lot of gas for a 6 banger. |
In 1994 I bought my first truck before I had my license it was a 79' Ford F-100 with a 302 V-8 and auto tranny. I had to fill the oil and check the gas on that thing, i don't remember it burning a ton of gas but I was big balling in H.S. I made $7.50 an hour and worked about 32 to 50 hours a week. I had 2 8" Bazooka bass tubes, 2 Blaupunkt 6x9's, 2 6 1/2" Blaupaunkt in the Doors, 3 44 watt autotek amps pushing it all and an Alpine Deck. I paid 900 cash for the truck, used it 2 years and sold it for $1200. It also had glass packs on it that would rattle what the sound system wouldn't. I
|
My first truck was a 1978 k5 blazer with a 383 stroker, small lift with 35's. I sure do miss that truck,do not miss the gas it burned.

Mine was a '83 Ford F150 stepside. White with black vinyl interior with NO A/C! Some hot summers! Good memories from that truck though!
Pic is not my truck, but closest I could find online...... |
1981 dodge ram 1500 long wheel base...260 AC (roll down 2 windows @ 60 mph). Blue paint was faded b/c my grandfather used it to drive to work @ PPG...Vinyl seats no radio...
As time went on I added Mud tires on the back and kept regulars on the front...pure freakin Red Neck...added 2 12" kickers in the back and cut out the metal on the two doors for 6x9s pioneer cd player...i will never forget mud ridin with alan jackson freakin blaring and mud flyin'...good times...good times. |
My F-100 didn't have a/c either. Strictly a fishing and hunting truck.
I also had an '88 GMC for cattin around. |

Used 1987 Nissan single cab 2 wheel drive wit 24,000 miles , huge silver stripe, tint windows, rims, boom box, painted interior light red. It was a pretty kicking truck got it right when I got home from the army in 1989.
Funny, took me a month to learn how to drive a stick. Really relaible truck and great to go and from college. Still can't get over dad putting me on his knee to spank my tail when I made it a lowrider not bright. Raised the truck bouth my 1st new boat and put 290,000 miles on it. |

My first truck was a 97 2 wheel drive extended cab Chevy 1/2 ton with a Vortec 350. It was 2 tone, black with the thick tan stripe in the middle. I shackled down the rear end & put a 3" body lift on it with some 33's. Put the K&N Cold Air Intake, programmer, throttle body spacer, and one of them tornado things. That truck was FAST! Don't have a pic of it but have a pic of my Tahoe aka "Da Hoe" I had after that, this thing was a mudding machine!

We had just got home from a week in pensicola, hence the funny shorts.......I think I still have them actually???? We should have taken her Mitsubishi car......would have saved a TON on gas!!! |
97' GMC Sierra, 350 V8 Vortec auto... The thing is a tank and built for hunting and fishing... love how i can spray the inside out with a water hose... only thing is i wish it was 4WD... That thing is so heavy... Ive gotten it stuck 3 times and it takes 2 trucks to budge it... love that power though... I have some big 3 inch mud grips on the back and can smoke em like racing slicks no prob

97 tahoe for sale or trade - $4000 I have a 97 tahoe 4x4 that I would like to sell or trade for a pickup truck of equal value. The tahoe is white and 4 door. A/C and heater both work, 4x4 works, power everything. Text me for pictures @337-278-9398. Looking to trade for an older model truck that can pull a 5th wheel camper. Let me know what you have. |
Had the first year 350 vortec in a stepside Z, at the time that was the fastest half ton on the road.
|
This is a hard one for me, had a bunch of first trucks.
1978 IH Scout II, 345 4 barrel carb. Had it jacked up for a short time until it just suddenly decided to start rolling over. Did that twice and dad decided it was cheaper to drop it back down than keep fixing the body. Drove his old company truck for awhile, 1980 Chev 350 with a Clarion cassette deck. It was fast for a stock truck but the bench seat is what I remember the most about it. Lot of memories made on that seat.:smokin: |

Took me a while to get to the pic, but this is my first truck I bought with my own money. A 94 Z71, 3 inch body lift, 6 inch suspension, 38 inch TSL's with Mickey Thompson Alcoa Classic wheels. Alpine deck with kicker subs and infinity mids and highs. Also had no mufflers and a Paxton Supercharger under the hood. Thing was a beast an d I miss her so.
