yea because we packed that sucker in the ice...got him real cold

Pole_benda 04-11-2011 09:39 PM

LA Saltwater series will deduct 1/2 for each dead fish. In a tight tournament it will hurt you more then help you.

yea....I know ...all the trout tournaments are live weight ins...but this one we had no choice but to kill it..it was a hair over the legal size...put in ice for 3 hours until weight in and came out just right...and won our team $500

All Redfish will be measured with mouth closed and with pinched tail. Any fish that appears to have been iced, penned, mangled, mashed, mauled or otherwise altered will not be weighed at the discretion of the weigh master.
From the rules

SaltyShaw 04-20-2011 07:30 AM

I'll prolly register tonight hope it's a good turnout

Finfeatherfur 04-20-2011 08:15 AM

I will be in Dularge for the weekend. If any of you guys run into Dwayne Mills who is the tournament director, tell him "Foti" said hey! Dwayne is a great guy, and is originally from Opelousas, LA. He and I were great friends back in grade school and he went on to a very sucessfull career with the United States Marine Corps. I haven't seen him in a long time so I am hoping to see him before the tournament.

I would say 30 to 40 boats

"W" 04-21-2011 07:26 PM

From a reliable source... There is about 100 boats to fish.....25-from the east side...20 from Texas and 30-50 with in 60 miles of Big Lake

SaltyShaw 04-21-2011 08:04 PM

GAWD Damn! There gonna be some potlicking goin on!

evis102 04-21-2011 09:07 PM

100 boats would make a 1st place payout over $5000
