I don't mean to sound like I'm scolding or lecturing you but that what these guys are saying. Most of those sports don't have a clue what they're doing, and some have never hunted in their lives. Sometimes you have to take control of the blind, if not for safety then just for the sake of making the hunt a success, because at the end of the day, all those sports care about is takin a picture with a strap full of birds.

Just got to dedicate a day to witnessing it. I wasn't there expecting to kill a bunch. It sure is somethin. There's literally blinds every 50 yards lol

Well dang. Sure glad I never posted a picture or anything like that on here with *gasp* face paint on! Some of y'all need to lighten up a bit about ragging guys who might use face paint. I do sometimes, just because I am required to be clean shaven and I can't really grow scruff in two days time to hide my face on a long weekend. And I sure as heck put it on my girlfriend when she's hunting because she's fair skinned and glows and I know she's gonna peak at the birds no matter how many times I tell her not to bless her heart lol

Don't take to heart. Look at it like constructive critisicm. Take the valid points and what you think are real good advice and do what you do. You ain't hurting nothing by putting camo paint on. Only thing I can see hurting is putting too much on and it shine in the sun. I try and go by a code.... If it's sunny, 730a everyone sit down and turn the way they gonna wanna land. One person locate and let everyone know where they gonna be and how many there are so they can paint their own picture.... My .02 but by no means am I a master at this trade...

X2 on leaving the dog at home, I had a guy show up last year with a "grand champion" and me bein green to guiding I let him bring it. I knew I messed up when he sat down and put a bag full of rocks in the shell rack. I got no problem with a rock chasing dog I know you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes, but a goose blind when it's 27 degrees outside. The owner spent more time chasing geese than the dog, then when he got tired of throwing rocks and mashing all my grass I put on yhe blind he drug the dog to a bird, when he got back the dog fell in the blind, straight onto my frozen toe and my toenail is still messed up. I'm not hating on the people or the dogs that throw rocks I'd just rather go get the birds myself

Ahh you beat me to the punch. Gotta love it when they walk out with a tag hanging from the shirt and start putting the gun together at breakfast.

Don't worry about your comment. Its neither scolding or lecturing. More of a worthless rant.

Almost as worthless as "the customer is always right". Almost.

I like to wear a thin face mask so I can watch the ducks while I'm working them. I keep face paint with me and a couple extra masks. I often take kids and less experienced hunters. If I see they can't keep their face down then I have what I need in my blind bag to fix the problem. I always have my son either with a mask or paint. I want him to b able to see the birds working, that's part of the beauty of hunting these ducks. I still don't let him look straight up at the ducks though.
As far as others wearing paint, do what works for u. I have definitely noticed more people wearing it most likely due to duck dynasty. Hell, in pecan island the other day, I saw two yuppie blonde chicks, hot blondes, get out of a Range Rover with full camo and face paint. People just think its cool to duck hunt now I guess. I guess I just been cool before anyone knew it haha.
