Don't think they are going to worry about it too much. Last I heard, RUMOR said some guy paid a guide in the past but did'nt do him any good.

You should read the rules.

jchief 02-02-2010 11:04 PM

Is there a deadline for entering the tournament and when/where do we send entry fees to?

Just show up at Cal. Point with $30 per boat and go fishing.
Go to the thread on here to tell who is fishing with you.

Just let us know and then show up. We just need to know who you are fishing with (everyone has to be a registered user). Or, let us know if you need partners, a boat, etc...

Glad to have you on board.

How far south can we legally fish? What is the southern boundary? The rules say Calcasieu Lake & it's tributaries.

A tributary is a stream or river which flows into a main stem (or parent) river.

Technically this would make any area on the east side of the ship channel off limits as well as anything water North of Turners Bay & South of Old River.

It might be a good idea to just post a map with some boundary lines or something.

jsmoke222000 02-23-2010 11:11 PM

I know that a lot of guys are probably gonna want to fish the southern end of the lake if the salinity level is still low. I just want to clarify if fishing the jetties or west cove is 100% ok to fish for the tourney.

jsmoke222000 02-24-2010 08:30 AM

So if we can launch @ calcasieu point & get to a cwertain spot by boat, we can legally fish it for the tournament?

speckinabox 02-24-2010 08:41 AM

Show up and fish. The rest will take care of itself.

Everything is legal, till you get caught.

I got ya. I just wanted to clarify it. If it is public water & you can get there by boat from Calcasieu Point, it is ok to fish it for the tourney. 10-4!

wtretrievers 02-24-2010 10:29 PM

jsmoke222000 02-24-2010 10:34 PM

No staking out fish!

evis102 03-06-2010 04:59 PM

I have talked to alot of people at work and on the water that are internet and/or computer dumb. If they show up with a team Sat. morning will they be allowed to join and fish? I tried to tell them to just join SC but I think some of them do not own a computer lol...

What if a one or two person crew has 3 trout over 25 inches? Also, what if they are weighed in alive?
