Billy, you are a true craftsman! Great work!!!!!

A few years back, I had a rod break on me in 2 places while setting the hook on a bass. I was fishing with a worm and the thing had wrapped me up in some lilies. It was one of those "expensive" quantam rods from Wal Markkkkks. I did get to catch the bass. He was all of 1.5 lbs. The rod was only a couple of months old.

I was simply backing up your story, cause I had the same thing happen to me. Several p eeps was wondering about the rod breaking in 2 places, but mine did the same thing. I just think it was prolly faulty blank, cause I set the hook the same as I always do.

I hardly ever break rods, but last year I broke an All Star Rod and a Shimano.
LCT replaced the Shimano without any questions. The ASR was a different story.
They wanted me to pay shipping to and from them, plus $50 to fix it, under warranty.
I am using some Stix rods cause he is supporting SC. So far, so good. They look
great, throw great and feel great when fighting fish.

Got mine in at lunch..... Wow, that's all I can say. STIX has out-done himself once again !

Got my custom BillyStix rod in the mail today.... Amazing workmanship. Very light. Very sensitive. Great detail work..... beautiful piece of work to say the least.

And Billy was correct in that I instantly picked up some casting distance with the great action on that spiral-eyed beauty.

Thanks, Billy!

like i said you can easily pick up as much as 30 ft more casting distance once you get the feel of the spiralstix, it will take a bit of casting to get it down but you will also notice that it takes less effort to get the cast, plus no rod twist while fighting a fish.
you will like all others love the spiral action.
