Most money tournament have boat length restrictions (no less than 16ft) but no rules stating tiller engines not allowed. This past weekend in Empire, there were 2 pro-drive boats in the tourney. Just saying....

I will be in this tourney and lots of good anglers from the east is coming. Cant wait to see the armada of boat sitting at the weirs and Jetties. Me and my partner goin to be doing what I do the best Marsh fishing!

Yes, 2 fish under 27" . Pinched tail, on the line at 27 is good, over the line . Fish is DQ. Must be alive.
A word of advice, buy a chek it stik measuring board. This is what they will be measuring fish with at the tourney. Not all boards are created equal

Yes they will pinch the tail, if its close she will flip the fish And measure again, They do this twice ,if its over the fish is DQ'd

Why not measure fish as it lays? ....I see the point but as the fish lays should be under or over 27,,,Not how the tail pinch is....

I think every fish is measured like that, the tail pinch. If you look at the LDWF handbook, it shows the same method.

yea because we packed that sucker in the ice...got him real cold

Pole_benda 04-11-2011 09:39 PM

LA Saltwater series will deduct 1/2 for each dead fish. In a tight tournament it will hurt you more then help you.
