I have nothing against wading... It just should not be allowed in compation....

Wader will not win the redfish event anyways but still should not be allowed.....

PUREBAY2200 12-22-2011 02:02 PM

W, u have said numerous times that wading don't produce bigger fish.
Example- " I have caught my personal best out of my boat"
" my top 5 fish are out of the boat"

Now with that being said, why are u opposed to waders in a tourny??
If u truely believe what u say- wading don't produce bigger fish- u should beg people to wade against you in a trout or redfish tourny.

I believe that 100%... But in a tour you should have the same level

if your fishing on a day where trout are easy spooked....Who will have the advantage???

Wader...

Day wind if blowing 30mph...Who will have the advantage?? Wader

So everyone is wading cool...if everyone is in a boat cool

Should not split the field...

3- 5lb trout beat one 9lber

so its easy to catch some nice trout wading ...on bad fishing days.......

where I have caught my Top 5 trout ...you can not wade due to soft bottom you would sink.....or 6ft of water

Excuses are like *******s. Everybody has one. It's not a advantage if everyone is allowed to do it. It'd only a disadvantage to you Bc you be short yo. You should have eaten your weeties as a kid. Lol.

That's the main reasons I've been against it :)

I'll challenge you to a spelling bee. You get a 3 letter head start. I'll finish 3 letters ahead of you.

Any body who competes in fishing will tell you.... Wading is not allowed and due to the fact they get the advantage by not having to use anchor, trolling motor, net,not spooking fish with boat.....nobody who pays big money to fish will want to compete with someone wading.....when I fish for a check... I believe everyone should be on the same level...wading has a huge advantage due to not drifting and no boat noise....

Wade Fishing Regulations Participants are allowed to wade fish in any XRT tournament. Participants wade at their own risk and agree to release XRT and its affiliates from all liability. Wade fishermen may not wade more than 500 yards from their anchored boat. Wade fishermen may not wade within 50 yards of another tournament angler, with the exception of their designated tournament partner. If proximity to another tournament angler is in question, the wader casting and retrieving first has the first right to the fishing area. If wade fishing, the boat engine cannot be started unless both team members are in the boat.

Sounds lajit to me

Duck Butter 12-26-2011 10:24 AM

Why not? Wader can only cover so much territory. If you can't be quiet in a boat that is 'your' fault.

If you want to sit and look at the same spot all day more power to you:)

The more rules the less fun and less people will enter

SaltyShaw 12-26-2011 10:36 AM

Rules:
Start at safetime all together
Catch your Redfish (No Live or Dead Bait artificial only)
Be at Dock for weigh in

Ray 12-26-2011 10:37 AM

Next year, "wading only tournament"...
