Congrats!!! I turned 30 Friday and I promised my wife I would quit smoking and I can't do that if I have a drink. So I know it's only Sunday but no drink or smoke since Friday! Whoop whoop!!!!

Gotta start somewhere....Congrats and keep it up, I was in the same situation, couldnt have more than a beer or two and had to have a smoke. Finally just started slowly tryign to dring a few more each time before lighting up and then limiting the number of smokes in a day and then just gave them up all together....

It gets better!!! I , we , most people put n a bit of weight when they quit smoking. food starts tasting better and you eat a bit more.
I lost 20 lbs since i quit drinking. The first month my body craved sweets.
I never ate a bunch of sweets when i was drinking, but alcohol turns to sugar so i was a sugar junkie and didn't know it. have weaned myself off the candy and sweets now and now am losing a few lbs.

I was prepared for that. I went a week without worrying about it cause I knew it would be hard to stop smoking, drinking, and eating all at once. I have been eating healthier the last 2 weeks and not as much. I've been having a 32 oz smoothy from smoothy king every night for dinner during the week since I am working away from my family. I used to drink at least a 12 pack every night and smoke 2 packs. I would eat when I got off work and pass through the drive thru before I go to bed. That's terrible! And I can breath now!
