Best stop. I agree the soft and spicy at famous are great, but if you eat some you better have and extra pair of drawers with you or close by cause you gonna need them.

Gotta give it to Billeauds in Broussard

speck cc 07-16-2012 11:43 AM

Goula's in Breaux Bridge is the best i've ever had... and i've had almost all of the ones mentioned. Billeaud's i would have to go with as a 2nd choice

I stop in Scott at the Best Stop close to once a month on my way to Baton Rouge for work to bring some to the office. Their Boudin is my favorite (Smoked is awesome too)and when their cracklins are good they are the incredible, but every once in a while you get a batch that isn't all that good (soggy and underseasoned). It just so happens that my last trip in Late June was a bad batch and it's pretty disappointing when you pay $13 per pound and they're not that great.

Hebert's Specialty Meats in Maurice, LA - boudin, stuffed chicken with dressing, chicken salad, hamburger patties and crawfish pie - They all are the BEST in the world I have ever had. What a CHAMP!!

AND

Richard's Meat Market in Abbeville, LA - Best Boudin Ball I have EVER had.

Best Stop and Don's are OK for me..

My office is right in between I-10 and the best stop. We call it the Boudin Triangle. Best stop, Dons, Billys all less than a mile away.

Where do you work?

BassAssasin 07-16-2012 01:06 PM

Del Corporation

Gotcha. Pass by there every day on my way home. I would be in serious trouble if I worked that close to The Best Stop.
