If you want a really big hole shoot a Slick Trick fixed head. Been shooting them for years. Have killed two ten pts and an eleven as well as several big Axis bucks with them. A blind man can follow the blood trail.

nap came out with some new ones this year no oring so no mess ups.....i have always shot rage but thinking im going to switch cause the blades are always falling out on mine. i hate the orings

Hey Chip the famous "what's the best broadhead" question is truley a can of worms to be opened! I've killed with several different broadhead and most recently Slick Trick 100 grain standards and never had to make any sight adjustments as they hit among my target tips. I shoot carbon express 220s, Bowtech Admiral at 59lbs with speeds near 300 fps. Everyone that has posted here has found themselves a lethal combination to sling at a deer. The most important thing is to make sure your broadhead is sharp and that you have confidence in it. Climb a tree, have fun and give em hell. I've heard great things about rage, but it looks like I'm shooting the NAP killzone this year.

My head is spinning trying to decide I have talked myself in and out of about a half dozen broad heads so far.

I have to make the decision this week.

That makes two of us. Heading to the now shop first chance I get.

Me too lol.... I am 85% sure I'm going with a fixed vs a mechanical but it sure looks like the mechanical will put a huge hole in one.....

I never imagined how many decisions involve bow hunting lol...

Fixed heads always cut and never fail to open. Slick Tricks are good, G5 strikers are too. They are what I shoot. Cut on contact. Just be sure and broadhead tune your bow to get the heads flying with the field tips and you will be set!

rocky Mountain Archery Iron Head 100's. Have NEVER failed me. I have never hit an animal with one of these heads that wasn't recovered. Most of my bow hunting buddies use em too, and love em. They used to be in cabelas catalog, but not no more. But if you call the catalogs 1800 number and ask for them, they still have em.

And they impact the same point as my 100 grain field points. No special tuning necessary. I really like that feature

All I ever used thunderheads and slick tricks . Never tried any thing else.

I have been shooting 100 gr Thunderheads for ~ 15 years and never seen a reason the change.

in my opinion if you are going to go with fixed heads, go with slick tricks.. all my buddys that shoot fixed and bow hunt more than they gun hunt shoot these. one hunting buddy hasnt hunted with a gun in years and kills several deer a year will only shoot slick tricks.... just saying. i personally shoot 2 blade blood runners and have had good success so far..

Bought some G5 strikers just awhile ago. Ready to get this season on!
