I have seen where the main ground wire on the engine itself was corroded behind the terminal and would not make contact I know it would be a pain but check every ground on engine for corrosion and tightness and also the main wireharness from control box to engine there notorious for broken wires where it is ran threw under the haul

Thanks, but I already checked the white wire at both ends, no dice.

so, just to recap for everyone to be on the same page here, what are your present problems left to fix now that some of your issues you first listed now have been fixed?

keakar 04-29-2014 09:30 PM

any recent news?

did you find the problem?

meaux fishing 04-29-2014 09:49 PM

I'm pretty sure it's got to be a wiring harness. I'm taking it to a shop to diagnose it tomorrow. I haven't had time to mess with it much this week

meaux fishing 04-29-2014 09:49 PM

I will post results when I get it fixed

Ratdog 04-29-2014 11:41 PM

Dang no dog bone.

keakar 04-30-2014 04:05 PM

well good luck with it, hope its not too expensive (but aren't they always :headknocker:)

Ratdog 04-30-2014 08:08 PM

If u dropped it yesterday they should have an idea unless u went to shop o da prop.

It was a short in the wiring harness between the motor and the ignition. It got fixed. Big thanks to Southern151 for the recommendation of the shop. I had to drive to prairieville, but I brought it at lunch time and was driving home with it by 430

Glad you got it man! Every yr I take my harnesses apart and fill em with electric grease. Just a heads up. Leaves em always looking new
