Ive been in both, owned one and will have to disagree.

I've been in both also. Everyone has their own opinion. Haynie is lighter and narrower with a deep V, and doesn't plow into waves as hard. Seems to stay on top better. I have no problem with a triton, that's why I included it in boats to look for.

Ditto. Or a 220 LTS Pro. I like mine.

Might want'a look @ the Majek 25 extreme.

How about a Cape Bay 23 or a Key West 23 or a Key West 246?

CB has a 15 degree dead rise while the KW both have 19 degree.

Looked at one of these boats Sunday.... Awesome looking boat. Haven't seen another boat with that much room to fish!

Transports are the same size, with a little deeper V but will still draft about the same amount of water. Transports ride a little better, but the Mayeks have a cap. Both are huge boats and very comfortable to fish out of.

Man the Cape Bay's are some sweet looking boats but they are like 70K and there aren't many of them on the used market. The Key West are affordable but I don't know much about them. Guess I will have to look through THT and see if I can find some complaints. The Blazer Bay 2400 have a deeper V and a little more dead rise but the are really light. I don't know how they would stand up to the chop. The more I research I do the more I think I want to go with a new boat. I am pulling a 28 day hitch offshore so when I get off I will have enough money to throw down on something good. I am catching more fish out here anyway.

Key west
 

I have a 2000 model key west 216 bay reef. I think it's a pretty good boat. Seems to have held up well. Takes a chop pretty good and is dry. Not going to say its the best cause I haven't been out in every other boat out there, but I am happy with the ride.

I would look hard at a 230 Key West. My buddy has a 196 Bay Reef and that boat rides VERY, VERY well for a 19' boat.

The fit and finish of the KW boats are extremely nice as well. I looked at a 210 Bay Reef before I got my 220 LTS and the main reason I got the Triton was because I couldn't afford the KW. I got the Triton used from a guy out of Florida.

KW also has the performance bulletin on their site.

If you plan on going off(near) shore several times a year then you will appreciate the 19 degree deadrise.

However, I love my 220!

Love mine too, but it's gonna be on the market soon. Can't get on the water enough like when I bought it, will get another one when things slow down NO DOUBT!

Decided to go with a Cape Bay 23. Found one in Destin with 60 hours on it and tricked out FLorida style. It was out of my price range but with my trade in I was able to do it. Had it out in some pretty rough stuff during the sea trial and it laughed at it. Can't wait to get some slime on it in the morning.
