where i hunt in the marsh, if u dont have a dog with u, you are going to lose 20-30% of the birds u shoot. Its real thick grass. I have seen a duck fall 10 yards from someone and they still cant find it.

Anybody know if there is a retriever group/club around baton rouge? I've got an awesome dog and she's working like a charm, always room for improvement on her part and mine.

Lol mine looks like a butterball right now as well. I need to do a better job of keeping him in shape in offseason.

I would love to get a lab! I've always liked yellows for whatever reason. If I didn't think my old mutt dog would die of a broken heart for me getting a new dog, I'd have one! I just don't think he'd take too well to it and we've been a lot of places together over the years.

I guess I'ma just have to wait for now.
