The guy going to bat the most for haynie actually thought some fishing rods were filled with helium to make them lighter. Who would take this guy seriously when anyone need a logical answer.

Fished out of a 24 ho on sabine a few weeks ago in a pretty stiff wind and it def sold me on haynie.... and another thing is how easy the clean up is on a rolled edge. I def see what the hype is. Its def is a pure FISHING boat. All these Haynie haters prolly never stepped foot in one.

bayouchub 06-30-2013 02:36 PM

They seem way overpriced for the components used but if people will pay that price then it is what it is.

Roger... i know about 3 people who sold a blackJack for a Haynie... and never heard someone fish in my boat or talk about another Haynie and say...this boat sucks I hate it

The biggest thing I like about the haynies is the size of the front deck. That being said they are way overpriced. Once popularity came they jacked the price way up.

Yea, hearing a few guides getting away from them since they are not getting that discount anymore.. Some were buying them just because they could use it a year or so and make money @ sale. I considered one before I bought, just couldn't see dropping that much on a half finished boat.

PUREBAY2200 06-30-2013 06:05 PM

" half finished boat"
Bahaaaaaaaaa
Funny stuff

Ya figure with the boat being unfinished top, open console( no doors) and them big azz cheap plastic cleats the price would b less.... But hey what do I know.... I don't even have a boat.....

I gave haynie a "3/4 finished boat" rating.

Don't think you can compare a haynie to a black jack. 2 different class boats, black jack, is In a different class. Black jack all the way.

Yamaha, Merc, Tohatsu, and Evinrude all still make 2 strokes

specknation 07-08-2013 10:20 AM

Dink used the word carb 2 stroke which is the old style 2 stroke which Yamaha and Mercury do not make anymore. I am aware that the HPDI and Optimax are both 2 stroke motors LOL.
