Like I said I think you will love the Triton, well built solid boats. I have to disagree with Meaux but it is all a matter of personal preference. I bought a second Pure Bay 2400 because I felt it was the most well rounded 24+ foot boat under 65K on the market (24 feet 10 inches). It also is 8 to 10K less than a new triton. I have a 300 yam 4 stroke on mine and it has seen 64mph and is as smooth at 64 as it is at 34 which was an issue for my Haynie. The boat comes standard with trim tabs and Lake Area can make you a smoking deal on one if you are intrested. It can also be customized, mine is grey with a black bottom and has racing seats like a Haynie. 3.8MPG at a cruise speed of 44mph.

I agree your boat made my top 2 also but i was buying used and I found the right deal on the triton. Btw I have a 250 Suzuki and have seen 53

Nothing wrong with that, it was a coin flip, you have an awsome boat. That Suz is a great motor, no telling how many hours you will get out of it.

I had a suz 300 on my first blue wave, great motor and good on fuel for a 300. For that Trition I would put the 300 and it shouldn't cost you a fortune, they are priced right....that would be a very nice setup.

Agreed, nobody ever wished for a smaller motor. That trition is stud where you fish offshore.

SGib 02-09-2013 10:16 AM

Chicken how about a couple pics of that purebay.

BaseballFisherman 02-09-2013 01:15 PM

Triton 240 LTS is a solid all around choice for fishing bays and for entertaining the wife and kids. Solid built, great riding boat. I just bought a BlackJack and couldn't be happier with my choice. It's fast (250 SHO), has an incredibly dry ride (drier than the Bay Champ I had before), can eat a chop in the bay, comfortably goes to the nearshore rigs and beaches, and has tons of room for a "22 foot" class boat. It easily fishes like a 24. If you get that Triton 240 LTS, put a 300 on it.

Yeah I think that's where I wanna be. Waiting on this guy to call me back from lake area

ckinchen 02-09-2013 02:04 PM

Also if you are looking at a new trition since lake area does not carry them, Lmc in houston (site sponsor) is the number one trition dealer in Texas. Ask for David or Jill and tell them Casey from saltycajun sent you.

Good luck with your purchase. Be sure to post up some pics of the new boat when you get it. Welcome to the site by the way.

Also fishinpox took me out on his triton. Real awkward. First thing he did was take his shirt off. I was like "dude, we're not even at the launch yet" weird. Nice boat though.
