Agreed, I think my BMW is really nice to but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to everyone.

Nice yes, financially responsible? I could have done better things with my money.

shearwater doesnt belong in the same statment as yellowfin unless you are talking price and appearance. Unless, shearwater has fixed thier electrical and customer service problems in the last couple years

X2 the customer service is not the best, I know first hand! And they were having electrical issues as of last year!
I run an 08, and the boat has been great, and the wiring is good with no issues, but a year or soo ago their wiring/rigging went way down hill, and they are not good at returning phone calls at all! You have to call frequently to remind them or to get anything done!
I know a gentlemen who owned 3 shearwaters, with his 3rd being an electrical disaster, soo he switched to yellowfin and has not looked back.
I would not compare my Shearwater to a yellowfin in the wiring dept. they may look as pretty, but the YF is a notch above! From first hand exp. they are faster, better riding, much cleaner wiring, and the customer service is top notch! You'll pay for it to tough!
Yellowfin = almost a 1yr wait!
Shear water = boats waiting for you to buy now! About 10k cheaper!
If they've fixed the electrical issues I would highly recommend the boat, but as of two wekas ago I'm still waiting on a return phone call from SW for a simple issue.

I would not beleive this post if I hadn't been in the boat myself and witnessed it personally. Getonfish's rig is top-notch all the way. I still have people call me a liar when I tell them how fast that 175 pushes that Frontier. Turnaround is almost over!!!!! I'm ready to go get some fish. Ole lady cooked the last reds on the 1/2 shell last week. First time I've been outta reds since I got my bay boat.

I sold my 2012 25LTZ a month or so ago. I couldn't get SW to call me back on anything, even minor questions. Poor customer service IMO.

Nowadays you're looking at $90,000-$100,000 for a new YF. $60,000-$80,000 would be a steal for a new one! I've seen a couple YF 24s with the 350 SCI listed for $120,000. Yikes!! It's ridiculous.
