I started to post on this site earlier, but luckily - I waited after calmning down!!!! What started out as something pretty funny, really got me in a bind earlier today with the phone getting almost 250 text while I was on the side of I-10.

I have been helping my old friend from high school that spent many years with me in law enforcement start up a new unit. He is the chief of police for a town close to me and he and I worked I-10 for years as ICE (interstate criminal interdiction). We are training some young guys that is being funded by a federal grant. About the time we shut down a vehicle and have a dog alert on a truck, my blackberry goes nuts. The whole time I am trying to monitor the situation, watch the suspect, listen to the answers being provided, and await details from a federal agency that had information on the truck, my phone was useless and put me in somewhat of a bind. I finally threw my BB in the unit and advised the dispatcher to send all info to another guys BB. What a waste of air time!!! Funny, but still made for some undo stress in a bad way!

In the end we found a load of "white powder" and it did not ruin the day. More to come on that later.

Jordan sent 10 of us a text as group text on where to buy some shrimp at a good price, when one replyed it went to all 10, when everyone realized that, it was on!!!!!! a text message free for all!!!!!!!!! It got absolutely nuts for about an hour!

It's ok now, but I'm trying to read this guys NCIC history and then screens start popping up about "skanks" and "sasquatch".!!!!! Imagine one screen having a read out of a drug conviction on a guy, then automatically going to big bold curse words from speckdaddy about someone's mother!!!!! I was like just stop for 5 minutes please!!!!!!!!! In the end, technology was not going to intervene so I had to kill it and concentrate on what I had going on.

You know I would have chimed in if I had the time!
