Most I've seen on the river so far today.

Montauk17 03-13-2013 02:10 PM

My dad talked to one of the mechanics for bass and the pros were not too happy about the location choice, they wanted toledo bend. Should make things interesting though.

This tournament will prove who can really get on fish. That is a fact.

Goggleeye11 03-13-2013 03:29 PM

The winning area will be so full of boats next weekend it will be totally unfishable.

huntin fool 03-13-2013 03:32 PM

Fine by me.. Ill be at a Toledo tournament. Taylor's bayou was virtually unheard of except by locals until this tournament.. Now it's known as a damn gold mine. On a side note, I fish all the areas the pros have been hitting. So I guess I'm doing something partially right

My question is why are we seeing pros at 210 and prien park launch. Are they running to the Intercostal canal to head elsewhere. I saw one today leaving that area.

Halfway run to the basin. Someone will catch 15 pound out of the basin and only fish for 45 minutes.

You think they going to run from Orange TX to the Atchafalaya Basin? That's a hellified run.

Top Dawg 03-13-2013 03:52 PM

I would think some will run to basin.

I seriously doubt that....your talkin close to 500 miles round trip. They would have to run all the way to the wax to get in the basin from the intracoastal.

That would be a little over 7hrs running at 70mph:eek:

SULPHITE 03-13-2013 03:57 PM

I've heard lower units are catching hell...up to like 9 boats out...

Montauk17 03-13-2013 03:58 PM

Blastoff at safe light weigh in at 3:00....not possible

That is what happens when you run 75mph in areas full of debris you can't see.

huntin fool 03-13-2013 04:31 PM

Not possible for the trip to the basin. Lake author, yes. They will be pushing weigh in back a little, which will be decided at meeting tonight.

The 210 ones are hitting Bayou Dinde and contraband, and running north.
Practice is over now.. Heres a few pics

I'm guessing that is not a No Wake Zone

Top Dawg 03-13-2013 04:36 PM

I figured some would be hittin bayou dinde. These waters are dangerous. Especially with all the trash from the recent high waters. The intracoastal is one place I wouldn't wanna do 80 mph.
