1. 17. Official launch will be at Hebert’s Landing. All entrants must be at launch site to sign in for tournament and await "shotgun" start, but may leave and launch elsewhere if they wish.
It would be nice if Kayaks teams could get an exception to this rule, this knocks out most of the fishing day; drive to launch location, paddle out, fish, paddle back, drive back; or launch at marina at shotgun start; get run over. I would suggest a captains meeting check in for kayaks so they could launch at there respective areas at the same time as the boats; boats will still beat them to the fishing grounds though.

just have to check in that morning and you can drive where you want to launch

Thats cool I guess (but I may burn more gas than a boat!), I just hope check in is EARLY cause if a kayak wants to fish the west cove; they have to actually drive to west cove, not simply take a 10 minute boat ride. It’s all part of strategy; but severely limits fishing locations logistically from a kayak fisherman’s perspective IMO.

Just received a present at my door. Pic doesn't do justice as the guys from Tidal Surge went all out for the tournament and even included some of their new Tiger Gleaux Crazy Croaker's in the mix.

We're definitely off to a great start!

Thanks Shawn and Dana :)

LaAngler 05-13-2011 04:52 PM
