I never said it's the best I could do. You and Fool axed for avacado and that's what you got.

SaltyShaw 08-07-2011 09:21 PM

Do the best you can to match that craw . . . . .

even this color with a pearl belly and red flake would work

Salty 08-07-2011 09:26 PM

The red flake is gonna be a problem. Maybe I could spray a light coat of transparent red over the finish color. What are you calling "pearl"? Pearl as in pearl white?

SaltyShaw 08-07-2011 09:32 PM

yeh pearl white . . . . could you just spray the red over just the back and not the white?

Do what you feel flows the best your the painter lol im just that dude making it troublesome for you to paint a bait haha.

The pic of the first rubber bait you and Fool posted had a chartreuse tail. You want chartreuse anywhere?

SaltyShaw 08-07-2011 09:42 PM

They sit in the water just like the pic. I caught 900 trout on 'em one June.

Salty, Answer my PM from this morning.

Salty 08-09-2011 07:12 PM

I'm working on a Bomber Long "A" topwater. Removing the bill, the line tie and the rear hook hanger and replacing them with props from a Mirr-O-Lure M51. Don't know how it'll work but I been wantin' to find out. Oh, and single hooks....no trebles.

PaulMyers 08-09-2011 07:15 PM

Salty, Check your PM

Honestly, I don't know, but, I would guess something like that. Might try to just cut the bill down a bit and add a rear prop. That'll keep it right under the surface.

Stan, do you have pic mail? Or what's your email. I'll send you some pics of something I've done similar to this
