I work for LMC Marine Center and David is my boss,he is being tight lipped about location, I think I heard him say he caught the fish in west cove around rabbit island

Hahahahah. Right. We gonna know soon if that's the real spot. If he keeps his job it's bs. If he loses his job then there the money shot.

I don't get it! What is the big deal about what spot in Big Lake this fish was caught? It's not like you will go to that same exact spot and hammer 9 lb. trout. Or, even catch one, for that matter. Trout like that are loners...not schoolers. It takes stealth, patience and a whole lot of luck to land a trout like that.

9 Lb trout

Thanks for all of the congrats.

It was truly a great experience and a fish of a lifetime. She hit at near the very end of my cast when the bait was sitting still. She made a huge hole in the water and I had to wait until I felt some pressure on the line before I even knew if she hooked up. Once I sat the hook she aired like no other Trout I have ever caught before and I immediatly knew I had a pig on. If you were anywhere in Calsacieu you would have heard me hoot.

Chris's job is OK. He did hear me talk about rabbit Island but we fished for three days from the top end of the lake down to the bottom. Over that time we had lots of big fish up to 7.5 lbs and the one I caught of course.

Calcasieu is a great fishery and you guys that get to fish it often are very blessed.

Thanks again.

By the way the east shoreline is pretty hot.

Nice job bro. I just can't wait to get back out there in my own boat.

David, Excellent fish, I mean TOAD there.
But did you leave out the part where you were 'eating a ham sandwich' when the fish hit :-) ...
and No, Chris did not say that.
Way to go man!
