Fool and Retrievers, 1st place~!!!!
 

me and wtretreivers took 1st this evening in the ABT tournament on the calcasieu river. we had a 5 fish bag of 5.33 lbs!!!! with our biggest being 2.3!!


will post pics tomorrow. i wore a Lsu shirt by the way (must be good luck...or must be my longhorns hat :)



I will even say where we caught them at, all caught on finesse worms on cypress banks..

it was retrievers 2nd fish that he caught. we got to our spot and his 3rd cast he pulls one in, 4 cast after he pulls our cull fish in.

folks, me and him fished 3 tournaments and today was our last. what a way to end them!

also on brush hawgs/crank baits . more so crank baits then brush hawgs and finesse.


finesse had a few bumps. brush hawg had one fish all the rest on crankbaits

Great job to both of you! That's a task, putting 5 good fish in the boat when you have to in only 3-4 hrs, on the Calc. especially.

Is this tourney still the "dogfights" out of Parkside or are those still on Wed nites?

yes they go out of parkside, now there is Tuesday tournaments, and Wednesday tournament (dogfights)

How is the payout? Did you guys get big bass with that 2.3?

they paid 2 places. 1st place team is $230.

Lets see.......H/F wore a Texas hat & blue shirt with W 1st trip. A couple reds & no trout.

Shootout.......OU hat from Salty & didnt fair very well.

1st bass tournament w/ Me.....Texas hat again. 1 bass

2nd tournament w/ Me.....Texas hat AGAIN! 1 bass.

3rd tournament w/ Me......LSU Shirt! w/ Texas hat???? 5 fish limit & won the tournament! THINK ABOUT IT FOOL! Oh what we could have done w/out that TEXAS HAT!:*****:

fool, after i get back from houma... Next week we need to try out those new baits i bought

i guess i will start fishing the rest of the tours...ya never know i may get the points and that fancy shirt with names on it and sponsors they had made..:)

ole betsy is a beast. im glad i got her. she is one mean green swamp/river machine.

Yea you dont need a 300 horse merc on the back of a bullet for the cal. river haha. Especially if you want to get into those smaller cuts and stuff. Aluminum boats can take more of a beating with tree stumps and stuff, You wont get as mad, NOT SAYING YOU WONT :*****:
