2010 End of Summer Beach Bash

We will host an end of summer and back to school fishing and cookout day on Martin Beach or now known as Mae's Beach on Saturday July 24,2010

The event will start that morning around 7am for the early birds
and will last until the afternoon or when the last one falls

Were going to make it a simple family day at the beach to fish, eat, build sand castles, ride four wheelers and mingle

Location: Martin Beach in Johnson Bayou LA
off hwy 82, Cameron parish
Take Parish road 532

Punch list for the event
here are the items that we will need for the event, If you can help with any please comment on this post and what you can bring

large size Tents to be able to place a few tables under
BBQ Pits
Charcoal
Meat..... If you can grill it , will put it on....
Pork,,,,Beef,,,,Deer,,,,,Waterfowl....sausage....B ring it
tables
paper plates,forks,spoons,knifes and trashbags.....

**** PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS FOR YOUR FAMILY*******

**** PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH CHAIRS TO SIT IN********

There will be great places to wade fish off the beach area and if you want to bring your boat there are a few places to launch and drive to the beach were we will be located

I have 3-10x10 pop up tents, several food warmers and 2 white folding tables I will bring.

I will bring some deer sausage and Tables also

I got one 9x9 tent and some deer sausage as well.

I got a 12x12 tent, 3 tables and 3 icechest full of beer:)
where can we ride 4 wheelers??
Would a jet ski b ok??

ive got a 12x12 tent, and woodduck commander and i will bring some smoked meats

Is this just a one day thing is there places to stay or can we bring campers thats a long drive home espcially drunk

It was planned for a one day event. I have seen people bring campers down to the beach but I don't know if there are some places in JB to rent a spot or not.

We need to check with Ray, he is a Cameron Parish encyclopedia....:D

Were just going to make the event one day but you can stay until the oil runs you away

Don't worry, I know the paramedics that work in Johnson Bayou, so we should be okay. There used to be some camping spots near there. May ride down and look one afternoon.
