Mazens has great food but the service sometimes lacks; I recomend going during the week. If you go during weekend, make a reservation before 6:30 and bring your own bottle of wine, so you dont have to wait on your server for drinks. I worked @ Mazens for 3 years.
Kyoto is great for Sushi and Habachi, the service has always been good. Good Luck, Have Fun |
Let's see....
Casa, HIbachi Grill(the shrimp is awesome), Darrells, Pats of henderson (it's okay..for the price it should be better), Tony's for pizza. |
over here in laffy there's a lot more choices, but i always liked pats of henderson. i think they changed the menu some years ago, but they had dish called the Lucas's platter that I loved.

Checkers....it's just your wife. I suggest the one on Prien Lake.
|
No one listed Olive Garden, it is on the north side of I-210 at the Nelson rd exit.
For Chinese, I like Hong Kong across from Prien Lake mall. Anyone been to the Japanise (sp) place across from Home Depot? It is fairly good. |

Olive Garden sucks. Hong Kong is good for buffet but he is looking for some place nice. I'd either take her to Mazens, AMazens which is seafood, or Kyotos Grill. |
DeAngelos is real nice at night. They have great martini's and the food is also good.

For good Chinese go to Asia in the L'auberge Casino. The real Asians eat there a lot.
And Peking Garden on Broad. They have the most food you can put on a plate and it is great. There is also a new Chinese next to West marine called JoJo's. All of these are cook to order, not buffet. Mazens is good, but it takes forever to get your food. I like Pat's steaks and seafood. I love crab's, cooked any way. They have a great crab platter I eat every time I go there. Can't beat the Po-boys at Lenards or Darrels. There are good places that serve plate lunches too. One is Cajun Cafe, just East of Ryan, 1 road South of I-10. Another is Billideaux's(spelling) on 90 just East of 14. Cocohoes has fantastic hamburgers. |

It is Jenny's now. Real good hamburger and home fries from real potaoes. |
Nina P's is only decent food, but it's a slightly upscale hooters. For a good dinner I would say prolly Pats of Henderson. But if you want real food on a weekday or something, try Bill's at the corner of common and mcneese st. Of course darrells is prolly bout the best poboy joint around.
|
HOLLIER's in Sulphur on Ruth St has really good food, not a fancy place but good atmosphere for talking and food that is seasoned good. Thats where I go when down that way.
|
Agree with Sulphite....good & nice date joints: Listed in order of prices
La Truffe Savage Snake River (inside L"auberge) Mazens Harlequin D'Angelos Kioto Luna's Pujo St Cafe |
