Mike was prefishing for the Baffin Bay Bash, a tournament scheduled for the following weekend when the trout ate his corky. The big trout on tournament day , a 10.2 lb fish also ate a corky, redshad in color. That should keep some of those Texans to the west of us...

The old Texas state record was the same exact length and weighed 13.69 lbs. The trout was also caught in February back in 1996 by Jim Wallace of Houston...

cajunwader 02-23-2011 07:29 PM

We got great fishing in Texas, what are you talking about? We have Croaker and Black Drums out the ***!!! Also, our sail cat fishing is legit too. We don't like to fish for them specks, too much work when you can always throw dead skrimps on the bottom.

Yeah, I need to thank ya'll for that. We inherited plenty of dead skrimp soakin' Katritions from LA. Don't get me started on the cast net throwing illegals.

skinman 02-28-2011 10:28 PM
