Wrong...every rod I get is built to my specs... I use a 6inch grip...6 ,11ft rod lsu wrap..... Go find that on the production line,,,, rod is built how you want it...custom

LaAngler 04-13-2011 11:18 AM

you order a certain "model" (hp slam, mag) length and action aren't custom

just color, name

No argument...

We bring you the highest quality of rods on the market and this level of quality stems from understanding the needs of our customers. All rod blanks are manufactured in the USA and individually assembled by dedicated anglers. Waterloo Rod Company supplies you with the perfect rod, for the perfect fishing experience. We at Waterloo think of ourselves as pioneers on the cutting edge of design. We have been designing and building custom rods for over a decade. Our devoted following with our custom rods eventually led us into rod manufacturing in the Spring of 1997. http://waterloorods.com/images/dot.gif Our experience tells us that fishermen require four main properties in a rod: sensitivity, lightness, strength and durability. Armed with that knowledge, Waterloo combines only the highest quality components with the most advanced building techniques to produce the finest rods available today

LaAngler 04-13-2011 11:47 AM

you can order a Waterloo custom, but they also sell "off the rack" rods.

I'm surprised....... I haven't seen the word "helium" in this thread........salty.....you slippin?

bayouchub 04-13-2011 12:08 PM

The salinity series is a pre made rod. Not custom at all.

You can have the salinity made to your liking on length, grip style and rod eyes and your color...Or you can order the standard one ......Your choice..Just call them up and tell them what you want.........That easy

"W" 04-13-2011 12:16 PM

Confirmation..The Salinity is being redesigned and the rod built it self comes standard....

Every rod is hand made custom by Waterloo

So if I order the "standard" salinity I would be correct in saying that not every Waterloo rod is custom.

Salinity series have Argon in them, makes them a hot rod.

Argon is inert...now if it was filled with Hydrogen, which is lighter than helium, it would be consider a "hot" rod...considering hydrogen is flammable....

Thanks

If you haven't given up on this thread by now....check out Ron Ardoin in Bell City. 337-622-3040. He makes all his own rods from any blank you prefer. He prefers St. Croix and American Rodsmith, but will order what ever want. He also does any wraps you would like (LSU). He is a bit pricey for me but if you can handle paying $200 to $250, you should give him a call. I tried one of his rods, they are definitely worth it.

Side Note: He also does reel cleaning and repairs.

Good Luck

Does waterloo do custom wraps? Could I order one with lsu colors and maybe put my initials in it?
