five guys burgers
Not a bad little restaurant. Went and got a burger there, all toppings are free besides cheese. Lots to choose from. I got grilled onions, jalapenos, mayo, ketchup, cheese, and lettuce. It was a good burger. A little on the pricey side, but I'd rather pay more to watch them make the burger than to pay for some processed stamped out burger from mickey d's. Nice fries too. They opened yesterday or monday in Lake Charles on Ryan street. I recommend them!

Anybody with McSandwich in their name says its a good burger, i'm a believer, thanks for the info.

I've passed by there the past few days. Parking lot overflowing with cars. I want to try em out. I've heard they are good. Thanks for 1st hand report. So how much is a burger/fry/drink combo?

Good quality, ate there in Georgia and if they don't fubar ur order that is a plus. Last two times I ordered from another establishment they got it wrong and shorted my order!!!!!!!!!! |
We've got one here in Baytown and its by far my favorite franchised burger joint. All there meat is fresh like at home and cooked right in front of you .....they use fresh, cut in front of you, russet potatoes, with the bags showing the farm they came from (pretty cool) and they use canola oil to fry their fries (not those crap hydrogenated oils that's 10x worse for you) . Their hot dogs are hands down kick azz too! Just a tid bit...they use mccormicks steak seasoning on their cajun fries.

w/ the fried mushrooms and okra off common? |
They have five guys up here in NYC and i probably eat there 3 times a week. One of my buddies wants to open one in New Orleans
|
Pretty decent place. I ate there a few times in Jacksonville, FL. Make sure to get the cajun fries with your burger! I have two burger joints here in my little hometown that are better, but they ain't chains. :)

5 Guys is pretty good. Got one here in Cypress.
We got Smash Burger here too and it's just as good as 5 Guys. Parking lot seems pretty full at both when I go by. |
I was not impressed first time there, food was very greasy but may try a different location after reading these post.

Been to the 5 guys in Atlanta. Very good. Ordered the large fries for everyone. Made a mistake. Two people could have eaten off of one order. They put the box in a paper bag and just dump fries in the bag. Burgers were great. Some friends of ours that live in Atlanta took us there. Haven't tried the one in Baton Rouge yet.

It was Mr. Burger when I went to McNeese.
I liked Cheeseburger CHeesburger too. They had good malts and shakes with good burgers. Hated to see that place go down. Gonna hafta try 5 Guys. Last time I was off, I saw construction going on at that place, wasn't open yet. |
I drive by one every Wednesday & they are always super busy at lunch time, they must be good with that kind of crowd.

5 guys rocks!
