Kenner18 09-20-2011 08:06 PM

Better hope the love bugs and skeeters never breed ....

The love bugs were bad on the water yesterday when the wind died down. Judes boat looked like the front of someones car. Dead love bugs everywhere!

Had to run down to Cameron today. Couldn't see out the winder by the time I got down there.
Cleaned off and came home. Went to Don's Carwash and they almost sent me packing.
But they came off pretty quick. Guess they was still squishy. But stank too,

calcutta37 09-20-2011 10:20 PM

Tex Dawg 09-20-2011 10:48 PM

Get you some Rejex from CorrosionX, bugs will wash right off without scrubbing.

inchspinner 09-20-2011 11:45 PM

Left my drink outside for a few today and came and took a sip and slurp NAST NASTY went down...not one but like four or five was pilled in the straw....dont know if its true but I heard they were bread/made for eating mosquitos and low and behold they dont and I dont think they have any purpose but cost us time and money....

bjhooper82 09-21-2011 09:07 AM

I was thinking the samething yesterday. I was washing the thousands of love bugs of the front of my rig yesterday and gaging at the smell of them.

A sandblaster. Just kidding. The best stuff I found is called Bug Off if I'm not mistaking. You can get it at parts stores.

Castrol Super Clean will take em off but it takes the wax off too. I use and just wax where I used it. It works great.

In my truck the washer hose dry rotted and cracked and broke off at the washer pump. I have no washer fluid to get them bugs off my windshield. When I used to work in LaPlace, I'd have to stop at the car wash and wash off my windshield before work.

Or, you could have spent a dollar on a replacement hose and saved yourself time and money.

This is true. Probably drive and go get the actual replacement hose today or tomorrow.
