Saltwater barrier
2 Attachment(s)
Fished both sides of the barrier yesterday from 7 until noon. Couldn't get any bites on plastics. All were caught on rattle traps and crankbaits. Caught 26 total, kept 14. Biggest red went 21'

Good catch mann...

Any problem getting by railroad bridge ?
Do you wait for them to open, or go under ? |
You can go under the East side of the RR bridge most of the time, without getting them to open. It is a little higher than where it opens.
Or launch at the Saltwater Barrier, or off of the public launch off of Miller Rd. and not worry about the RR bridge. |
Thanks

10 years ago.....that launch by I-10 had a dropoff at the end of the concrete. I quite using it with my small boat.

is the barrier an actual barrier? Like some locks or weir or something?
|
There are lock gates for boat passage, weirs that raise and lower and a levee.
