Coots are great to eat and if it weren't for spoonies most field hunters would not kill many ducks so don't hate on Mr. Hollywood LOL He keeps the Barrels Hot!!!:*****:

True, but its unfortunate that most of them get stomped into the mud.

swamp snorkler 11-16-2011 05:59 AM

Who don't eat coots, thats better than a duck with the exception of teal any day of the week.

TCoon 11-16-2011 09:54 AM

Why don't you go ahead and mount a snow goose while you're at it?

Good first post lol, welcome to SC. Only way I would mount a snow is if it was double banded.

jpeff31787 11-16-2011 10:53 AM

Yeah I wish I would have killed it. he said he watched the coot for a while and when he killed the spoonie he figured the coot would go along well with it in a mount.

Ray 11-16-2011 05:07 PM

Tell him that will be his best hunting trip ever. Hope he don't expect a day like that again.

white belly, brown head and back, speck bill with white spots on his back and neck came in with another speck yodeling his head off. killed both and knew something out of the ordinary. Had it mounted but lost it when my house burnt down in 05. Also lost a mallard pintail cross, and a triple banded black belly speck.
