I remember seeing a thread about someone on here making custom duck straps.. Searched for it with no luck. Anyone gots some more info? :help:

All of my research has pointed to Cecil Musgrove in Moss Bluff. Have yet to call him about getting one.

I have one of the straps made by rippinlips, well worth the money!

George is a heck of a fisherman. Look at his walls for proof! I would have to get meds there when my work was out of stock and we would talk bout fishin. Heck of a nice guy.

Gordons has the ones like riceland makes. May be the ricelands. Just looked at then a few days ago.

Otis leather has some very reasonable prices...

I got mine from Cecil musgrove in moss bluff. About 2 geese per string is the max you wanna put on it which puts you at a max of 20 geese on the strap. But then again, you don't wanna carry 20 geese. It will hold all the ducks you care to put on it

Straps look to be very high quality as well. I may be getting one with the laser engraving.

around $40+sh for 6 strap...and $50+sh for the 12 strap.....That "duck strap" brand's straps look short to me....

They do look short.

(Tangle free.com) has a pretty solid looking strap also.....

I have this one, its not bad at all.

I've had nothing but trouble with "the duck strap" people. Ordered one in September and still haven't received it. Tough to get in touch with them, and when they did respond, whatever new date they gave ended up being wrong. Now, they say they shipped it, but unless it takes a month to ship, its either lost or they lied.

Seen Otis's work first hand and its top notch.

Smith and Son's in sulphur are putting out the old school straps that are a solid piece of leather. Really good quality. I reccomend them.

Contact Reese Marceaux with Marceaux Saddlery. He makes the best I have put my hands on. I have him making one for me. They are $140 engraved. Pricey but he said it will be the last one you will ever buy. He uses top notch leather. All hand crafted. He made my father in law a gun care and it is top notch and beautiful.
