Reel Bearings
 

Just wondering if any of you do it yourselfers out there change your beraings/parts on your reels. I have a Calcutta and Curodo that needs bearings. I was wondering who ya'll ordered your bearings from. I know I can bring it and get it fixed but being its just bearings i wanted to do it myself.

take your time and pay attention to detail, you should be fine

Shamino reels are the easiest to change bearing on..

I looked at that site after I found it on a search. Just wondering how hard is it to make sure you're getting the right ones.

Its easy..find your reel and it will give you the bearing you need

I saw they had several different bearings under each reel. Is that just the different makes/grades of bearings for that reel.

yes they have different ones for the same reel. the more expensive the better. go with the orange seal full ceramics. put a lil hot sauce on them and you wont be disappointed. all you need is the spool bearings. dont get the full bearing kit unless thats what you need.

I wish I would have been on this site 2 yrs ago before I got one. A guy at a local tackle shop sold me on that junk. It is truly trash

Everyone has their own favorite brands n believe me ive tried em all. I myself just find that shimano maybe a lil pricier but they hold up and with a lil cleanin n maintenance theyll last forever. Never have i had a major problem with any of my reels. Ive upgraded to all ceramics in all six of my curados n theyre smooth as glass

im starting to learn that. for some reason though i always wanna try the new reel (why i bought the new lews). im hard headed i guess.

We are all like that at sum point or another i believe n ive always resorted back to ol reliable shimano

If you are looking to just replace your bearings (not upgrade) check out
www.avidrc.com they are the same quality as the stock bearings and are only $1.00 each.

The ceramic bushings are def. the way to go. And personally i tend to pick up my daiwa coastal before my Curado's every time for some reason.

I like my lews alot but from what I hear they don't hold up in saltwater. Guess I will just use it for bass fishing. Need to find a few curado e7's before they are even harder to get. I have ceramic bearings in my older pearl white chronarch and they are the shiz!

I got 6 dem e7's. All ceramic bearings n ceramic pawls. Just got anudder one fer 80$ brand spankin new!!!! From a dopehead *****

this is all i was going to do but what about the Roller Clutch Bearing?? It looks pretty rough
