pool....waiting for gunite to dry
2 Attachment(s)
I while back I posted about getting a pool.....well we decided to move forward with it. Man these construction a holes make a freaking mess. I told the dude we getting the pool from that my yard better be back to normal once the job is done....
One pic is of how it will look (minus the mountains in the back ground)....other is a pic of the phase it is in as of today. They did the gunite on Thursday...you have to wait at least 28 days. They should come next week to do the bricking, concrete and fence.... |
Nice

Man that looks GREAT!!! Go either with salt or ione SP?
Very nice ASR
salt....it seems that is what everyone is doing now....the pool guy said it was a little more but it will pay for itself in a few years plus a lot easier to maintain.
nice
Lol. Who did it? I used to work for the top of the line pool company in BR. All we did was gunite. Wish I was making your money. I worked for russell pools. We did alot of work in country club of la and high end neighborhoods. Of you need any help or advice let me know

Unless your an idiot like me!!! I had shoulder surgery about 8 months ago and I back washed the pool and forgot to turn the pump back on :pissed::pissed: The wife is still :pissed: The pool looks great |
FT we went with Brian Keith Pools. He is in Gonzales. He did 2-3 in my neighborhood. I got a few prices and he was the best bang for the buck. I could do without the hot tub but my wife wanted it. To me those freaking things are way over priced. However, like a good husband I gave in.
Yea no doubt. Like I said we did ccl and other high end neighborhoods. So I doubt they were very cheap. I worked on the maintenance end
But if u have a problem with it(which u will eventually) get with me. I can most likely fix it for you way cheaper than they'll charge

Just replaced my liner and added a salt chlorinator. Water is awesome so far. Once you understand how to use the dang chlorinator, it's a breeze. I think with the hot tub however, you'll need to chlorinate more due to water temp. Enjoy the new pool.

Lookin good! We can have our roll tide parties there lol!
Hey ASR, what did you do with all the dirt? I just bought a few acres and need some..
Bj the pool contractor hauled it off.

nice.....i worked for robin ewing pools in alexandria for like 2 years when i was younger. I was a service guy from anything from pumps to liners to leak detection. My wife wants a pool but after doing that for several years i'll have no part of it. they are very nice but they almost remind me of having a lab.......if you don't spend time with them or turn your head for a little while they get bad real quick.

Really, I never thought about the dirt since I do not have any place to store it since I live in a subdivision. Good point, I am sure he got some $ for it. However, I did wheel and deal with him for two weeks. He threw in the fence and the cool crete. |

Well tomorrow (SAT) they are putting the plaster on the pool and we can start to fill it with H2O. Next, I just need to get the pool builder to get my freaking back yard back to normal..I swear, contractors are some freaking PIGS...:pissed::pissed: If not for my wife, I would of cursed out all of them for the mess they leave. Each time one comes the mess get worse and it does not get picked up til it is done. He better come by on MONDAY to clean up and level things, I am ready to get my back yard back...:work: After that, the only thing left is for them to spray the cool-crete on the slab next week. Pool guy says wait at least one week for the slab to cure.
It's going to be really nice Renee
I make a my subs sign cleaning contracts, if I show up on the job after the day is over n it's a mess they have untill 7 am to clean it up or take a 200.00 cleaning fee out of their pay
