Kayaking Joes Cove Saturday the 25th
 

For any kayakers that are interested. Weedeater, Bassyaker and myself will be making a trip this Saturday morning to Joes Cove. We will be launching out of Dugas landing at daybreak. If anybody else is interested let us know. In pretty sure this will be the best entertainment since the lightning strike at the weigh in. Lol.

I wanna get into this whole kayakiing fish scene, but its one hell of a paddle to get to VBay...

yall are in luck! i have to work that day so someone else gets to catch the fish :)

Lol i will say u did catch the fish when it counted... To bad we didnt have a 27'' red to weigh in at the tourney tho.

Whats a good entry level Kayak, I'm about 220 with a half busted back but I'd like to try it it out someday.

Theres alot of options. Id say go to a demo day that pack n paddle puts on and try a few out. I love my jackson cuda and others i know thats have it like it tol

if i dont fish gone pecan I may be in......where is Dugas?
and how far of a paddle is it to joes?

Dugas landing is about a mile south of hackberry on dave dugas rd. And its on joes cove... But the spot i wanna fish where i did well last time is about a 2 mile paddle

Me and two buddies will also be out at 210 saturday. Will be in a cuda, coosa, and 14PA. Planning on fishing prien and around ship channel.

We will be in black widow Cuda, camo Cuda and yellow Ocean in that same area

Anybody wanna give me some tips to yakkin Prien? I might be goin with a couple of buddies in the morning. I'll post a report when I get back

Are yall putting in at Lafluer Park or in the Prien Park area?

Starting on south side of 210 bridge fish the ship channel, top water, jig or popping cork.... been catching specks and reds or fish the flats or drop off and get specks,reds and flounder

Who is planning to be there Saturday morning?

Me and big kahunaz will be fishing out of an 18' Mako around prien area.

What weed said and fish the ship channel bank of Rabbit island , I picked up 5 flounder , 2 reds on about four separate drifts on an outgoing tide Tues.

Make sure y'all don't run over the yellow yak. The red one or the camo one is fine but not the yellow one with the big green shrek in it. :-)

We decided not to go cause of the weather

Man ya'll is full of all kindz of crap, I gave my buddy a good description of both ya'll and he is gonna make a fly by in his bay boat to see how stable ya'll are

Tell him to stay away from casting distance... Bc i keep a topwater tied on for any boat that wants to test how far i can cast ;)

just so yall know. went out there yesterday on falling tide and didnt do too well. water was stained... caught 10 white trout and 1 redfish with tons of trashfish. wind was gusting pretty bad... salinity has fallen way off from last week. ran to several of my spots and only one produced. good luck out there tomorrow morn with that tide... not much to go on

my brother went and yaked out hole this morning and he said VERY weak tide... saw a few fish but not much action. storm rolled in quick so he had to shut it down.... he wasnt in the prien area though. more north LC.
