Micah 08-31-2012 09:52 PM

Wow!!!!! The guy driving had to be knocked out. The boat was airborne for a while.

nguidry 09-01-2012 02:20 PM

That captain needs some boat handling instructions. What an idiot. That accident sure did not need to happen. All his fault

I think the news caster stated they hit a buoy.

The controls in his left hand are the tabs. On the big offshore boats the driver will handle the throttle while another person works the tabs. This guy obviously had no clue what he has doing.

Jamescollins 09-01-2012 10:54 PM

That was hilarious. He needs to learn how to operate that boat!

Loneshark 09-01-2012 11:26 PM

I was wrong. I just watched it again and they said it was a large wake.

Actually. Those were the throttles. He was moving the back and forth so much because he was catching air and the props were coming out of the water. If left in gear he would/could have spun a prop. He was in a race/speed boat(look how the seats were designed to be leaned against. Tabs are controlled by buttons. If you have any more questions let me know. We do have a race boat.

Pic is an example. Props out, throw her in neutral!

How bout the guy in the white shirt in the back, he is lucky he decided not to continue his perch on the back up the boat. Just before the wreck he got up from his seat to stand up. If not he would have been ditched for sure!

redaddiction 09-02-2012 11:16 AM
