Sabine lake: smashin da trout

1 Attachment(s)
Went fish sabine on a solo trip because ive never fished there before. Been hearing and seein great reports from local guides and i decided to go see what the fuss is about. Went wading a pocket at the end of lake and slammed fish on topwater n soft plastic jerkbaits like no tomorrow!! Insane action. I dont see why more people dont fish there it must be a well kept secret. I saw maybe 4 boats the entire morning!! Great fishery and i will be back with s few others in tow!!! Attachment 42031

I just looked on the TX parks and wildlife website. You only need either a LA or TX fishing license to fish bodies of water that create a border (Toledo, Sabine) you just have to obey size and bag limits of whatever side your on.

SGib 10-29-2012 12:08 PM

Cool catch

"W" 10-29-2012 01:47 PM

Back Back Give me 50ft

Jadams 10-29-2012 02:03 PM

Yea send the potlickers all to Sabine!

mr crab 10-29-2012 02:08 PM

I just did a CSI investigation on your pic, and I have come to the conclusion that those trout were not caught in Sabine. It's impossible. There are NO trout in Sabine. Period. Just gafftops and sheepshead.

YellowMouth7 10-29-2012 02:38 PM

they actually came from a crawfish pond in Scott, La

all on top though

shellman 10-29-2012 03:50 PM

Very nice meat trip...

CAMP CANARD 10-29-2012 04:03 PM

Boy you gonna be surprised ...that place is a circus on the weekends . Them dudes dont have no respect on that lake .

Kenner18 10-29-2012 07:22 PM

Nice job Speck ...I have caught a fish or two there myself over the last few years .

cmcnabb 10-29-2012 07:26 PM

Pretty sad when someone posts a report and they get accused of lying. If they post a false report, that's unsportsmanlike but so is going out on a limb and accusing them of lying. Who cares its just some freakin speckled trout

Sabine slayer 10-29-2012 07:27 PM

j/k guys... just tryin to keep it the best kept secret in louisiana trout fishing. lol

and keep the tards like "W" ON BL......

Nice catch
