Cocodrie Info
I haven't been in a couple months. Anyone been to Cocodrie lately? Anything going on in Lake Boudreaux? Or any info would be great. I've never fished during the winter time so not sure where to even start. Gonna spend the weekend there. Thanks

fishing should be good in lake boudreaux now. I was down over thanksgiving and there were several boats fishing up there when we came through.

Boudreaux has been producing some noce specks lately as it usually does this time of year. Try the north end of the lake with either popping corks or swim baits and you should do well. Also the reds are usually cruising the banks and they'll fall victim to spoons or spinner baits. Good luck I hope this helps.

we ended up with 47 (3 people). north canals did not yeild anything. caught them all by boudreaux canal. sparkle beetles did best. all good size, very few throw backs.

Betweeen the bridge and the wier in Boudreaux canal. Chartruse beetle on double rig. You should get plenty. SLOW retrieve!
Agree on the north end of the lake. Productive. Also caught some reds with specks on dead shrimp under cork.
Was down there the last two weekends.

I heard this as well. My Uncle has that land net by the bridge. I need to go make a trip out there. I may go late Saturday evening, put the lights and fish into the night. Last time I went I couldn't get the lights on so I didn't to well.

That dredge had the water messed up on Terrebone Went further down on Saturday and caught of the left side Saturday. What did you catch them on?

Dirty water terrebone?? No indeed!!!
I use bait shrimp under cork or DOA under cork... We were catching so many we starting throwing swim baits and catching them...
We make 4-5 trips before the rut starts and everytime we go to the same spot and the same thing happens.. As long as the shrimp are popping in the canal...

We went Friday Night fishing at night and caught about 120-11 1/2" Speckled Trout and 100-14 1/2" Rat Reds.
We ended only keeping about 15 legal fish out of all of that. For some reson they were really small this go round.
The tide was just starting to go out when we left..... maybe we should have stayed a little longer. This was in the Ship Channel.

No we went in a boat in the ship channel in Houma, fished all the lights around Gulf Island, Offshore Specialty, La Ship, even went into Munson Slip by Dolphin and Bordelon Marine. Fished the Dry Dock by Gulf Island as well...... all little fish. A couple other friends of ours had the same experience.
