Weekend Forecast

How good/bad do you think it will be this weekend? Weather is supposed to get a lot better, just curious what your thoughts are on if it's even worth bothering hitting Big Lake over the next few days.

No charts "W"

huntin fool 10-22-2009 04:39 PM

jlincecum 10-22-2009 04:52 PM

I'm goin east and taking my chances around Fourchon... i gotta get some fishin in its been too long

Mediumheavyaction6'6 10-22-2009 04:58 PM

all the reports i have seen over here on the east side say the wind is not going to be that bad and the weather is going to be clear. I am seeing 8 to 9 mph tomorrow getting less and less over the next two days.

"W" 10-22-2009 05:02 PM

Don't waist your time this weekend go plant your wife some flowers!!! I will tell ya how it is Mon!!!

Mediumheavyaction6'6 10-22-2009 05:08 PM

i have looked on two different websites for lake charles and both are saying less than 10 mph for the weekend. W i don't want to see the charts again but i am not sure about your predictions.

Will be giving it my best shot Saturday and Sunday. Work during week, don't have the luxury of picking ideal days. Can only hope for best!:D

Mediumheavyaction6'6 10-22-2009 05:39 PM

i have heard that the wind does blow pretty hard on big lake. i would think that would mean you were used to it.

Fourchon

A tip for anyone that's heading down to fourchon to fish.
As of 10/ 21/09 there was pipe line rerouteing going on and the flotation canal between the texaco canal and the havoline canal was closed to all traffic. There may be other areas around there closed at times.
You can call the harbor patroll in fourchon for updates.
