			V-Bay Report -5/13

Headed out to the pass this morning for a few hours of fishing. Was able to find a couple of spots around marsh island with decent water. We ended up with 3 reds & 3 flounder.

Natural gulp shrimp with red lead on bottom & vodoo shrimp under a cork is what we hooked up on.

If you have a trawl head to the bay, I have never seen shrimp running like I did today!!

There are trout that are being caught in the cove. We caught several trout in the trawl today. Saw a couple in a nautic star
coming out yesterday with 37 nice trout. Said they caught em under some birds.

It was a 16ft. I was invited to go with a friend. I have not done that in a long time. And I thought we did pretty good. But it was very rough this morn. 25ft gravois. The bigger boats did very good.

Correct! You can still cast net some shrimp up to 10 lb at Rockefeller until the 27th then increasing to 25 lb of shrimp limit.

All weirs inside under State Wildlife refuge in V-Bay limit is 25 lb during the shrimp season open.

We did see school trout chasing the shrimp but couldn't catch them. Too much bait in the water I guess.

 X2

That's 25lbs per boat though. Not per person.

Think trawling on the east side of the island would be good from the worm on east ? I normally trawl around Mud Point out of Intracoastal.
