Jindal hits a home run on race
http://www.politico.com/story/2013/0...ace-95875.html
Great article. Viable presidental candidate. Any skeletons in his closet to hurt him? I don't mean minor policy faux pas, every real candidate has those. |
I really liked Jindal when he ran the first time and then really liked him his first few years in office because he seemed to be outside the typical realms of 'good ol boy' and corrupt politics we usually see in Louisiana. He has since dropped way down on my list. 25,000X better than Blanco, but still a typical Louisiana politician - say one thing and do the other
Rigs to Reefs is a good place to start looking if you want to dig into a scandal;) |

He lost my vote years ago.

You forgot to add " passes legislation allowing slinging lead at anyone who might be considered a pilgrim" |

Because I have at least 2 dozen friends who's jobs were cut by him, or, they were forced to find employment elsewhere not knowing if they would be cut or not. He hammered the Bogalusa hospital system with his cuts instead of splitting them among the other state facilities. Plus, you shouldn't trust a bastard that talks as fast as him. I apologize for my comment earlier referring to race. It was totally uncalled for. |

everyone is always saying we need to reduce government and balance the budget, is that not what happened:confused: |

The governor is a piece of work, I'll give you that. But the budget problem we have... That baby belongs to the legislature. They have created an environment that promotes wasteful spending. And better yet.. They structure the laws so that the wasteful spending is protected. No governor is gonna change that. It's gonna take the legislature to convene a constitutional convention to undo the damage that they created. Unfortunately, you'll probably need a whole new set of legislators to do that.
If you think that the state is trying to spend money wisely, think again. Drive down I-10 and watch dotd replace road signs with newer ones that says the same damn thing or replace a milage marker with one that says I-10.... In case you forgot what road you were on... Wonder how many jobs were sacrificed so they could put those up??? |
Anybody know what Jindal's approval rating is now? Back about 3 months ago at the beginning of summer it was 38%. Not only was it lower than the president's....it was the lowest of any present US governor. Apparently, at least some think he ain't done nothin' good.

I'm sure this will head to the Gilnet soon

Tough decisions aren't always popular. Popular decisions, especially today, are rarely ever right. Cuts had to start somewhere and, they were pretty offensive to some. I'd bet there are a lot more cuts coming but, unless we "just print more money," we'll wind up in the same hole as CA or, Michigan soon. |

Louisiana prolly has politicians doin' it every day. |
I find it odd y'all approve of cutting jobs for our in-state workin brethren but don't mention cutting wasteful spending, i.e. Louisiana Purchase cards. Y'all don't mind screwing the makers but don't wanna mess wit the takers?????

Jindal is just implementing the National Republican agenda into the state with great success with the help from the Legislature. For this, his approval rating has dropped, even below Obama's. Just goes to show you that not even Republicans like the National Republican agenda when it is indeed put into effect and forced down their throat. Now he is trying to rig a Congressional Election in the 5th Congressional District. This guy is unreal, and he is trying to win the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party in 2016. Republicans better wake up.

This is exactly the problem. I walk through the hospital here and see people standing in line to get "free care" while the employee that used to serve them got canned because of it. |

Ya know, W, come to think of it...neither have I. FYI, I am not the one that "makes these numbers up", but, there is such a thing as an approval rating . |

Do you approve of the job Govenor Bobby Jindal has done over the last 6 months? There, someone asked you. |

Jindal is just another Louisiana politician is all, he started out with good intentions but fell in with the good ol boys and thats it. Will vote for him in 2016 though if he gets the nomination and Rand Paul or Christie doesn't:rotfl: |

My wife was offered vending machines that take Louisiana Purchase cards and she absolutely turned them down. She said, "I already bought those snacks one time...why would I do it again?" That's my girl!! |

Jindal had a shot at getting some headway a few years ago when he gave the speech after the State of the Union Address and he dropped that ball, looked like a bumbling idiot |

Doesn't matter who you vote for. Nothing is gonna change until there is an all out war against the govt. No matter who gets in, its gonna be the same. Just listen to Dan Carlin's common sense podcasts and you'll understand
