Asking for Prayers
 

I don't post on here to often but I know that this site is full of great people.
On Wed Sept 18 my nine year old stepdaughter had a blood vessel rupture in her brain ( arteriovenous malformation). She has been in a medically induced coma since Friday.
Things are looking up as far as the blood and pressure on her brain.
Like I said I know this site is full of great people and I am asking to please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she fights through this. Thank you.

Sorry to hear this, my younger cousin had the same thing happen to him. at 16. He went through a lot and he's lucky to have made it. Good thoughts and prayers going your way, having a 9 and 7 YO at home this hits home.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to update everyone. My stepdaughter is doing good, she is still in a medically induced coma. The swelling of her brain has gone down, however her cranial pressure has been going up and down. She is maintaining her blood pressure now without the meds. We are still waiting to see her cranial pressure stabilize before they do the surgery. But she is a little fighter and she is battling which is all we can ask for. Thanks again.

Good news as of this afternoon the dr's have slowly started to cut back on the sedation meds. Hopefully sometime Fri afternoon they will be bringing her around and they can access her and see where we go from her. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers, just knowing so many people are praying is a big help.

Sorry to hear of the unfortunate family disruption. God's speed and prayer's sent!!!

Sorry for not updating, but there wasn't really much to update. We are going on day seventeen of her being in the coma. The dr's decided late yesterday evening that her cranial pressures were stable enough to move forward with the surgery. She will be taken for a cat scan in a few minutes than they will start preparing her for surgery. Please keep Sarah and her surgery team in your prayers this morning as she takes hopefully her first road on the way to recovery.

Good news surgery went well. Still have probably 4-5 days before they bring her out of the coma. But at least now there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again for all the prayers and please continue them for a speedy recovery.
