What is your favorite popping cork?
Looking in my bags this weekend i noticed i'm down to just two popping corks left (probably all i need for the next year or two but...) I've been using the Mid Coast ones and liked em but since i'm about to make an order any favorites out there?

Yellowmouth baits! those just happen to be my favorite too for several reasons |
I needs to get some more. Where can I buy them?

west side - at Cajun Tackle, LCT or Cajun Fast Mart. I think Pack and Paddle is carrying them and then there is Country Station.
or PM JChief on here |
Yellowmouth, I gets mine at CFMart

Attachment 84872I'm ol' fashion...the smallest h@h makes in a un-weighted version. Use with 1/8 to no larger than 1/4oz. In clear water I sometimes paint the cork black.

Bingo. $1.29 for a two pack. Easy on easy off. I don't like the kind you have to tie directly to. |
Buy titanium instead of steel. Steel is good for about a couple hours. Let one big red crush your cork and it's over if it's not titanium. Most brands sell both. Titanium is more expensive but worth it.

I beg to differ |
Boat monkey. Has a stainless steel washer that protects the cork from the bottom bead. I use braid so my pops are extra..... Poppy.

Country Station has YMB bang time corks. Very good quality that is all we use.

I like the almost absolute tangle freeness of the lemon or egg cork when using double rigs no matter how windy it is.
it would be nice if you could make one as loud or nearly as loud as your other ones, not sure why you couldn't? |
