you don't know who the driver is until your request is accepted

once a trip is accepted by the drivet, you will see the face of the person and vehicle that person is driving that will be picking you up.

I uber'd 3 times in New Orleans this weekend. Total for 3 trips was $31. So easy and no waiting for a nasty and expensive taxi.

Trips in Lafayette are more expensive. I guess it's a supply and demand thing. But I'd still use it again.

each city has a set rate +milage+minutes

$5+1.35 mile +.25 a minute

rates do get higher as demand for rides get higher 1.5x 2.5x 3.5x surge pricing

say 130am -3am clubs are closing

Oh ok. The base fare in New Orleans was $1.75 compared to Lafayette at $5.

I would have to keep my truck WAY too clean to be an Uber driver... haha... I'd be embarrassed most days to have someone see how messy I keep it... especially during hunting season.

Be sure you keep a couple bags in your truck for them to puke in.

Uber is the best. Used it in Dallas, New Orleans, and Houstom many times.

what type of insurance do you need to carry?
Do they send you tax forms for earned income?

Thought about doing this for some play money but haven't had time to thoroughly research it for these answers.
