water is coming down fast in the basing, should start getting good in the v. bay again real soon. Might go try and catch some of those tasty sac-a-lait while the water is dropping.

Man its been over a year since i got on some sac a lait, sounds GOOD What part of the basin do you fish?

speck-chaser 01-17-2010 05:58 PM

we fish cherenton. Caught some nice sac a lait this past year when the water was almost to where it is now. gonna go try again and see if they are in the same places. the water is coming down about 6" a day right now. Justa about the time duck season will be over, our pot holes will be getting right for them ducks.psssshshhh.

Montauk17 01-17-2010 06:04 PM

Ive heard of charenton, but never fished it before. I usually fish bayou beniot or henderson before the hurricanes.

speck-chaser 01-17-2010 06:06 PM

cherenton is towards baldwin, actuall right on the other side of jeanerette. Our hunting lease is just a few miles from benoit.

huntin fool 01-17-2010 06:15 PM

I decided not to go to big lake, I took the kids to grand lake instead out by the locks.
We were looking for catfish, came home with 13. Kids had fun so thats all that matters.

Ray 01-17-2010 07:16 PM

Our Monday trip just got canceled. :(
