Flounder fishing?

Do you fish for flounder at Willow and Johnsons Bayou? If so, send some reports over this way.

BMTAngler 03-07-2010 08:49 PM

Got a guy i used to work with that fishes Johnson's for flounder everyday he can, havent really heard anything from him lately.

shellman 03-07-2010 09:01 PM

Welcome to sc...

Gottogo49 03-07-2010 10:43 PM

Welcome BMT, I love Sabine. It's just hard to get to from La. I usually put in at the burned out bridge and run down the river. Give us some reports from Sabine and we will return the favor from Calcasieu.

Gerald 03-07-2010 11:11 PM

Welcome........

Are the Trout up in the northere part of Sabine lake? I know that the Sabine river has has been high for a week or more now and they are still releasing extra water from Toledo Bend dam.

Like Gottogo49, I sometimes put in at the bunted out bridge landing when the water in Big Lake gets bad from to much rain.

SFA 03-07-2010 11:31 PM

I havent had a run in with large numbers of trout lately. Sabine is still really fresh, this week isnt going to make it any better. But the warming temps are going to get it going, I cant wait for the topwater bite to get into high gear. I love throwing the good ol Corky but a trout or a red slamming a Super Spook Jr. is heart stopping

Big Kahunaz 03-08-2010 02:03 AM

Aloha & welcome...look 4ward to your posts on Sabine!

Garfish 03-08-2010 09:41 AM
