Theres not many places to stay there either, everything has bout shut down the Old KOA is private now, Cypress landing is private now, the only thing I know of is the State Park. Oh..... & your brothers house:grinpimp: Let us know when he goes on vacation;)

Toledo is a little over 2 hours from Carlyss. Don't mind traveling. Issue to me is lodging. North Toledo Bend has a group camp that can sleep a couple of hunded and has a kitchenn as part of it.

It doesnt hafta be false river. I just wanna give our freshwawduh guys a lil fun. False river has limited space. But we have a camp and as many can fit in it or on the floor are welcome. We can do sumthin fer a bass sacalsit bream tourney guys. Come on need input. And no ****ty carp catdaddy lol

Toledo I think would be better fishing during the day........ dont think our sponsors would like a night tournament...

False river is a great place but I know first hand also lots of boat traffic

I have never fished False River, I would really love to fish it, but not on tournament basis. I would like a Toledo Bend tournament, but if you catch Toledo on a windy/foggy day, your screwed. Wouldnt False River be more subseptable to foul weather?

Im in for a freshwater tournament. I think the turnout would be a lot better at toledo since most people have been there before and alot more places to stay.

If you guys think boat traffic is bad at Big Lake you aint seen nothing till you have been to false river. More of a pleasure lake unless you plan on fishing at night.

I'm in for Toledo Bend just hope it does't land on my weekend to work just like the SC Tourney did. I work right at False River and it is full of boaters all day every day, try to bass fish on 3 ft. whitecaps from boats, I don't think so.

The Lake Bruin Motel and Grill has about 10 rooms. Not a Hilton, but ok for a night.

you may be a pro on the river ,But i've seen B.A.S.S. pros brought to their knees on false river. They swear the lake should be drained and planted w/ sugar cane.

Toledo gets my vote in the fall...plenty of camps, cottages and camp grounds to accomadate everyone that wants to participate...then after a long day of fishing, we can all get together and have a big ol fish fry and try not to get arrested :D

I still vote for Toledo, but, will this be a charity event like Calcasieu or just a "get together"? Toledo can be tough in the summer/fall, but if you are working with sponsors/donors you need the time. Now thru June is normally a little easier fishing on Toledo.
