Just remember, the smaller the TV the less difference 1080p vs. 720p will make. If you watch a lot of TV, I always heard to go with LCD as plasma has a burn-in/dimming concern.

If I were investing in a box today, I would save up or wait until I could afford an LED set at the highest kHz rate availalbe. You'll have that TV for about 20 years. It shouldn't be a short-sighted decision.
